Applicants eagerly await the opening with the 2014 lottery in October. Unfortunately, the survival with the annual Diversity Visa Program may count on immigration reform failing to pass. This is because the complete program was eviscerated in Senate Bill S.744 as part on the proposed immigration reform package.
The very good news is if what the law states does finally pass, it will not go into effect until January 2017. If so, the green card lottery could be good to the next four years.
